Winter Challenge!

Winter Challenge
Hello Everyone,
The Winter Challenge is the awesome and fun idea we discussed briefly in our first meeting back in September. But if you have forgotten what it was exactly I will now briefly explain.
The Winter Challenge is basically a group project, open to anyone in the Children’s Book Club who wants to participate. You certainly do not have to if you do not want or simply do not have the time but c’mon, think of how awesome this will be. No pressure.
Overview:
Since we are going to the SF zoo this weekend, we thought it would be a fun idea to choose your favorite animal to use as your subject for the Winter Challenge. This way we have a group theme and let’s face it, drawing animals is just plain awesome.
We encourage everybody in the Children’s Book Club to participate, but if you do not have the time we completely understand. If you are willing and able to do a single illustration, you can use it as a promotional piece, hand-out, or mailer. Or if enough people are willing and super-ambitious, you can branch off into sub-groups and do a small group compilation and do promotional material that way.
Format:
Either a 4x6 or 5x7 - your call.
Deadline:
December 10th, 2011
Bonus fun!!!
An added bonus is that if you donate a book to the Salvation Army, your illustration will go into a running to be put on display in one of the cases in the Powell building.
***Please donate books in good condition. New or gently used if possible - $15 or less***

Thanks for your unwavering attention and get ready for an exciting day at the zoo.
